Today we present one of our alternative therapies we carry out in our centers.
Reiki (霊 気) is a form of alternative medicine developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. Since its origin in Japan, it has been adapted to various cultural traditions worldwide. Their practitioners believe that through a technique called the imposition of hands or therapeutic touch, a “universal energy” (reiki) is transferred from the palms to the patient to obtain peace and balance at all levels:
Physicist: improvement in diseases, lesions, metabolism, etc.
Emotional: sentimental problems, aggressiveness, unhappiness, etc.
Mental: harmful habits, stress, insomnia, etc.
Spiritual: harmony, peace, balance, etc.
The practice of reiki is based on the action of a person, called emitter or channel. Through its hands -or other methods, depending on the level-, the transmitter says transmitting reiki (a natural force that gives us life) to a receptor, thus proposed to alleviate or eliminate discomfort and illness. Since reiki would be a universal energy, it is supposedly transmitted to humans, to other living beings, such as animals and plants and in certain situations.
Some reiki teachers claim that this practice has certain contraindications
It should not be applied during operations, due to the very nature of reiki, which consists in repairing the existing damages in the receiver. It could stop bleeding, interfering with bleeding and cleansing edges performed by the surgeon. In the same way, if the patient was sedated, reikipodría helped him to expel the toxins from the sedation, waking up early. However, they do consider a reiki session advisable before and / or after the operation.
The masters affirm that reikipermite accelerated the process of bone scarring and therefore the fracture soldier. For this reason it is only recommended to apply reiki to a fracture after the bones have been duly accommodated and immobilized by a traumatologist. In any case, reiki can be applied through the plaster or immobilizer device.
However, other teachers argue that reiki knows at all times what to do, how to act, where to direct, and in no case act negatively.
